Cerj Lalonde, a resident of N. Miami, experiments with a complex assortment of media (photography, video, installation, digital media), but above all he is a painter. He says his early work was realistic but, quickly found abstraction more suited to experimentation and exploration. His paintings, full of texture and color, are initially 'sketched' out on the computer much like any artists does with multiple variations to begin a work, while making changes to the canvas in-progress is a given.
