Dorsch Gallery

The Dorsch Gallery opened in 1991 with the intent of providing an alternative space for Miamians to view quality contemporary fine art that was produced here in South Florida. Following that ideal, the Dorsch Gallery became one of the few places in Miami that would give these artists the break that they needed or, the just the opportunity to display their talent. The concept was the challenge the viewer and those who would classify the gallery as showing "this" or "that" type of artwork, with exhibitions that extended into all types of media and styles -- a philosophy not present in most of the galleries that visited around South Florida. In January of 2000 the gallery moved to its current 5000 square foot home and, led the way to the formation of a new Art District - The Wynwood Art District, with over 30 members.
The gallery has remained true to its philosophy over the past 10 years, and continues to try to find ways to keep the exhibitions fresh and, above all, representative of the best of what South Florida has to offer. The Dorsch Gallery is independently owned and operated and has been the host to world class events in the South Florida Cultural Community.
